By plane

Innsbruck Airport (www.innsbruck-airport.com) offers direct connections with several European cities and several daily flights from and to Frankfurt and Vienna, thus providing connections to all parts of Europe and worldwide. Arriving at airport Innsbruck you can go to Hall in Tirol by taxi. It takes about 20 minutes, the costs are about € 28,--. Alternatively, you can take the bus to Innsbruck main station (bus line F) and continue from there (see below). When arriving at Munich Airport (www.munich-airport.de) you can book an airport-transfer which brings you directly to the hotel, the costs are about € 80,-- two ways (www.tirol-taxi.at).

 

By bus

The most convenient was to get from Innsbruck to UMIT with public transport is by bus. It takes about 30 minutes and the one-way ticket costs € 3,60. The bus lines 504 and 505, both with the final destination "Hall in Tirol Milserstraße", leave from Innsbruck train station every 5 to 15 minutes. The final destination of those busses is within 2 minutes walking distance to UMIT. For a detailed overview about the connections by bus you can visit www.vvt.at.

 

By train

All international train connections stop at Innsbruck station (www.bahnhofcenter-innsbruck.at, only in German). A train to Hall in Tirol leaves approximately every 15 minutes from there. Those trains are labeled REX, S1, S2 or S3 and their final destinations include Kufstein, Wörgl and Jenbach. Be sure to get on a train leaving to one of these destinations! Hall in Tirol will be the second stop if you get on the REX or the S3 or the third stop if you take the S1 or the S2. The price for a one-way ticket is € 3,60. The easiest way to continue from there is to take the bus line 504 which departs every 15 minutes at the main road near the train station (see figure below) and costs € 2,--. By car

The motorway A12 is crossing Tyrol, take the exit “Hall Mitte”. From there on out you can follow the description in the figure below to reach UMIT.
